He's already outgrown them.
I had another ultrasound today. In 4 weeks, that baby has doubled (plus some).
He was measuring about 4lbs. Now he's around 8.4lbs. At this growth rate, he's competition for Jude's 10lb, 15oz...but I am very confident there will be no 8-day-late waiting period with Silas. Induction around March 17 seems inevitable at this point. Maybe the little man will decide to come early on his own. Let's just hope it's after NanNan arrives on Saturday!
My doctor is still hopeful we can avoid a c-section but there's talk of moving me to the high risk hospital just to be safe. Either way, I've no doubt it will be a very interesting cultural experience.
I do love chunky babies. It's a good thing, because they seem to be my lot:)

We'll hope this last ultrasound is a little off! I had a friend who was told her baby was going to be 8lbs and he was around 6lbs. Then had a patient who was delivered by induction because they were concerned he was too small and had stopped growing but he was healthy, normal 7pounds. Hope the rest of your waiting goes quickly and your mom gets there safely! Can't wait to see mr. Silas!
If you can get an 11 pounder out, another pound won't make much difference :)
Hun we all know this baby is gonna be HUGE! Lets try for a world record this time ;) just kidding! i know youd be happy with a teeny weeny 9 pounder. You need to do a blog where we all put in our guesses for how much he will weigh.... when you find out your induction date that is! thats only fair.
Girl, they never know! I had all three of mine predicted wrong. Alana was supposed to be over 8 pounds a week before she was born and she came out 5 pounds. NO WORRIES! You got this!
My dear Laura
Loved seeing your photo in your little black dress. You remind me of your Mom.
You've been in my thoughts and prayers. And your Mom too, as she continues to struggle to get past the cold/flue she's had for so long.
I ended up with a similar cold and it is missserable indeed.
So take care of yourself, know you, David, Jude and soon to be born Silas are in my prayers.
Love you
Auntie Melissa
I'm praying, buddy! You've got this! :)
